I Can't Believe It!

He's 11.

How did he get to be 11??

While Isaac and his class were at lunch, I dropped off a few boxes of Ding Dongs with a Happy Birthday sign on Isaac's desk. He said the kids were amazed and excited!

Then Isaac got home from school and saw the stack of presents that he knew he'd have to wait for dad to get home before opening.

So I let him open one.

Grandma and Grandpa came by and dropped off a fun gift.

Cereal

Brownie mix

Cool red pocket knife

Cash

He was supposed to call Abbie back and let her know what he wants for Sunday. He chickened out. We'll see if he gets anything.

When dad got home the gift opening began.

This is his new Scout book. Being an 11 year old he is officially a Boy Scout.

He earned his Arrow Of Light and will receive that at this month's pack meeting.

And that look on his face?

Yeah. He loves a Scout book for a birthday present.

More gift opening as dinner got cold.
After dinner, of which Isaac ate very little, we had cake.

Then everyone was on a sugar bend and very little else got done.

But for one cool guy, it was a very good day.
