Monday...Left early after dropping boys off at school to get my DL renewed. In 35 minutes I had it done. How's that for service. Then I went to lunch with my friend Holly. Yay! Holly's gonna have a baby! See the little gray dog? That's Food. The brown one is Bowl. It was Food's birthday on Monday. So our FHE treat was cake. For Food's birthday. He's 1. Imagination.
Tuesday...Got all of February Visiting Teaching done on the second day of the month! I had budgeted for my clock. Then I saw the Kohl's ad and saw that all the clocks were 40% off. So I hightailed it to Kohl's for my clock. Then I realized that purses were marked down. Hah! I found a beautiful Vera Wang purse. But $100 on clearance is just too steep. So I got a cheaper purse. And with the clock and purse, I only spent $100 of the $140 I had budgeted. How's that for thrift?!
Wednesday...So I took the rest of my cash to Tai Pan and got some vases...buy 1 get one free. So I chose 3. I can't have an even number of vases on the mantel. That would be mantel faux pas. Seriously. Then I saw the framed cross stitch that says "Don't Postpone Joy" So $40 later I have my mantel set. Except I still need a stand for the frame. Parent teacher conferences at school! Yay Kids!

Thursday...Conga Bars for after school treat. The only thing wrong with them was that I didn't put near enough chocolate chips in. Darn.
Friday...My birthday. Daniel worked from home and I went with my friend Crissy, who shares the same birthday, to get ice cream. When I got home Daniel had these flowers waiting for me. The arrangement is called Hugs and Kisses. Awwe! Daniel took me to dinner and then to see The Blind Side. Oh my goodness gracious! We haven't been to a movie is so super long. But this was totally worth going to see. I loved the mom's reaction to the rich expensive salad ladies. When one said what a great thing she was doing for that boy. Leigh Ann said he was doing so many great things for them. I feel the same way about my kids.
Saturday...Early Valentine's Day pizza. Why? Our dad loves us.
Sunday...We had our first football game watch. It just happened to be the Super Bowl. Sam chose to root for the Saints. You know, since we're Latter Day Saints. That last touchdown had all of us screaming and cheering. I think the Saints just gained some trusty followers. We had lots of treats and Ruthie had the best seat in the house.

Hey those flowers look familiar- Bryan gave me that same bunch for Valentines last year. Beautiful! Love all the pics! I was a little confused by the dog named Food, though. I had to read that a couple of times. Ha!
That clock looks GREAT!! And what a bonus for all the goodies you got along with it! Great pics, Jennie! Have an awesome week :)
Way to go on the thrifty-nous! Love the clock and the vases! I came "this close" to buying one of those same exact vases! What can I say...we are designer divas! (I decided to save my money, instead. I hate it when that happens!)
What a great week! You mantel arrangement is wonderful! I bet it feels so good to have that part done! That is hilarious that his dog's names are food and bowl - and that ya'll celebrated his birthday! Happy late birthday!
I'm glad my kids aren't the only ones obsessed with stuffed animals! The mantle looks great. Can't wait to see it in person!
The clock looks great! I need you to come down and pick paint for me- you have a good decorating eye. Sounds like a great birthday - I want to see that movie too.
